About Technology Services
Wilson County Technology Services is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Wilson County's Wide Area Network, VOIP phone system, email server and all departmental servers and applications.
We also provide hardware support to all departments, purchase recommendations and installation of software and hardware.
Our mission at Wilson County Technology Services is to provide easy, convenient, and affordable access to County information and public records for the citizens of Wilson and all County departments.
Security awareness is the key to eliminating exposures and is the best security tool used to address and reduce loss to Wilson County through the accidents, errors, and omissions of users. Wilson County is committed to protecting its employees, business partners, the County itself, and its citizens who use County services, from illegal or damaging actions by individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly.
To define the purpose and scope, assign responsibilities, and enforce the security goals of Wilson County, two policies have been developed.
- The purpose of the Technology Security Policy is for the security of technology and information assets.
- The purpose of the HIPPA Security Policy is to protect the privacy of personal electronic PHI (protected health information).
It is the purpose of the Wilson County Security Policies to detail the acceptable use of computer equipment, systems, and software within the Wilson County network. These rules are in place to protect the employee and Wilson County. Inappropriate use exposes Wilson County to risks including virus attacks, denial of service attacks, compromise of network systems and services, compromise of sensitive personal health information, and legal issues.
A Policy Feedback Form is provided for the convenience of Wilson County citizens. Please print and complete this form, and mail to:
