Join us in welcoming Dr. Marshall Simpson to the Health Department.  Dr. Simpson has been practicing medicine for 25 years and we welcome his expertise in treating our patients.  Patients looking for a new doctor are urged to call the Health Department during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 252-237-3141 for an appointment. The Wilson County Health Department will see all patients regardless of pay plan. If you are uninsured the required reimbursement for your visit will slide down to 20% of total charges.

Welcome to the Wilson County Health Department. This website is designed to inform the community of the available services. It will also post health concerns, notices, seasonal alerts, and other important information as necessary.

Public Health
Public Health is meant to maintain good health for the citizens of the County and the good health status of a community. The professional staff of the Health Department are here to assess conditions in the community and to assure the highest quality of health status possible for all the citizens.

Services Provided
We invite all citizens to visit the Wilson County Health Department to become familiar with the services of the department and to seek care from its staff of highly-trained professionals.
If you would like to report a public health or environmental health emergency during the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, please call (252) 237-3141.  If you need to report an emergency after regular business hours please call 911 emergency services.
Clinic Hours
All clinic services are available by appointment Monday through Friday from 8-5pm to continue to meet the needs of the community. 

*On the Last Friday of each month regular clinic services will be offered from 8-11am but clinic services are unavailable from 1-5 for mandatory training's and programmatic audits.  

Due to lack of participation and cost containment efforts, WCHD is suspending it’s Night Clinic services, effective February 2015.

*WIC will continue to offer extended hours on the second Thursday of the month until 6:00p.m.
