The Wilson Botanical Gardens (WBG) was designed to showcase the diversity of plant material that can be used in the home landscape,
and to educate and entertain visitors with youth and adult programs. It includes an extensive tree collection, turf grass demonstration plots,
perennial beds, and an exhibit of native plants. A recently completed youth garden is designed to encourage hands-on participation in
planting ornamentals and harvesting food crops. When completed, the WBG will fill six acres, providing formal gardens and woodland boardwalks,
which are all handicapped accessible. The garden is located on the grounds of the Wilson County Agricultural Building, 1806 SW. Goldsboro St.
Wilson, NC.
Sponsored by the Wilson County Master Gardens(WCMG). The WCMG are available to answer gardening questions, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
from 1:00pm to 3:00pm by phone at 252-237-0113 or by Email.
