• Annual (Vacation)
• Employees earn 96 to 204 hours per year based on the length of service in the NC Local Government Retirement System.  Up to 40 hours of vacation leave may be transferred from another state or local participating agency.
• Sick
• Employees earn 8 hours per month regardless of length of service.  Accumulated sick leave can be transferred from other state or local agencies.
• Holidays
• The following holidays are observed:  New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
