Notify Human Resources immediately. We will make the necessary changes to your record.

5. How will I know what jobs I’m qualified for and when to apply?

Whenever a position becomes available, Wilson County DSS issues an announcement. The announcement contains a brief description of work, statement of minimum education and experience requirements, along with any required testing, credentials, etc. A posting date and closing date appear on each announcement.

6. How does Human Resources determine if I qualify for a position?

A Human Resource Professional is assigned to review the application materials submitted to determine if you meet the minimum education and experience requirements as determined by the NC Office of State Personnel.

7. How are applicants notified regarding the interview process?

Human Resources notify only the applicants selected for the interview process. Applicants will be notified via mail with an interview notice regarding the date and time of the interview.
