![]() The Child Support Program (IV-D) was established for the purpose of legally requiring responsible parents to support their children. The program requires that all WFFA recipients, whose eligibility was established based on the absence from the home of one or both parents, must assign all rights of child support to the State, and must be referred to and cooperate with the IV-D Unit in compelling the absent parent to pay child support. Child support services are also available to non-recipients upon application and payment of a nominal fee. Services provided by the IV-D Team are as follows:
