According to law, anyone can obtain a photo copy of any vital record providing a notation is made stating the document will not be used for official purposes. By law, only certain family members may receive certified birth, death or marriage certificates. You may request a certified record of yourself, your spouse, your parents, your children, your siblings or your grandparents. Funeral Homes may request a certified death certificate. Those requesting a certified copy of any vital record must present a valid picture ID. All certificates are $10 per copy either in cash or money order.
