The office staff will be more than happy to answer your questions or if you prefer, the Register of Deeds will be glad to assist you. It is better if you visit the office in person. However, if you cannot, you may obtain certain information over the phone. The Register of Deeds office is a recording agency only and therefore the information it gives out is limited to that which is contained in the records. The Register of Deeds office is open to the general public during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed at the direction of the Board of Commissioners. You should arrive early enough so that you may conclude your visit by 5:00 p.m.
