The Wilson County Finance Department functions under the North Carolina Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control Act. The Finance Office collects and disburses all funds of Wilson County in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes and the County's budget ordinance.

The Finance Office processes all of the following:
Wilson County's fixed assets and inventory are maintained in the Finance Office and are updated as needed. All reserve funds are invested by the Finance Director in compliance with G.S. 159-30. Wilson County employees are paid once a month through direct deposit.
