CODE RED SYSTEM

Wilson County Emergency Management is pleased to announce the addition of Weather Warning to the Code Red emergency notification system.  Weather Warning provides information to our citizens regarding severe weather warnings to include, Tornado Warnings, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Flash Flood Warnings that will impact our area.  When the National Weather Service issues a severe weather warning for our area, the Code Red System will notify citizens with warning information.

The Weather Warning is an “opt in” module of our Code Red System.  This means that folks will need to go to the County Website and sign up for the weather warning by following the Code Red link on the left hand side of the County Website page (www.wilson-co.com).  Here is the direct link for the entry page as well:

As in our regular Code Red notifications, just follow the instructions on the entry page.  

Even if you have already put your contact information in the system, you will need to put it in for this as well. 

If you do not have internet access, you can contact a family member or friend who does, and ask them to assist you or go to any of the Wilson County public Library branches where you can use a computer with internet access.
