Eligibility
To be eligible for WIC benefits a person must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Live in the county
  • Meet financial eligibility
  • Be at medical / nutritional risk
  • Categorized eligibility

The WIC Program utilizes staff nutritionists who conduct medical and nutritional assessments to determine risk factors for eligibility. Nutritionists recommend healthy eating habits based on individual needs.

Support
  • Healthy foods (vouchers to buy healthy foods)
  • Infant and child nutrition counseling
  • Prenatal nutrition counseling
  • Child growth and development information
  • Breastfeeding education, support and counseling
  • Referrals to health care and community resources
