In August of 2000 Elm City Town Board and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office entered into an agreement for Law Enforcement Services provided by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office. 

    The Sheriff has provided two Deputies to work the town Of Elm City and the town has let us use the Old Police Dept for a Substation. This has allowed our Zone 1 and Zone 4 Deputies to have a place to do reports and meet with complainants without coming all the way to Wilson.

    The working relationship with the town and its citizens has been a great relationship and one that has provided us with a lot of good information from the citizens on issues and crimes that have occurred.

    Having the trust and respect of the citizens is very important because this shows they support what we are doing in making Elm City a Safe Town to work and live.
