Deeds Fees
New Deed Requirements
Effective October 1, 2011 Deeds and ALL other Documents are $26.00 for the 1st 15 pages and $4.00 for each additional page.

Effective January 1, 2005, the Register of Deeds will be prohibited from recording any deed unless the tax collector has certified that there are no delinquent taxes on the property being conveyed. A Tax Certification Sticker is required on each deed before recording. You can obtain this information from the Tax Collector's Office at (252) 399-2901.

Deeds of Trust and Mortgages
Effective October 1, 2011 Deeds of Trust are $56.00 for the 1st 15 pages and $4.00 for each additional page.
