Notice is hereby given that the Wilson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Wilson County Commissioners Meeting Room, 2201 Miller Road, Wilson, NC. This is for public input on local community development and needs in relation to the Community Development Block Grant/Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and any other CDBG programs funding for a project in our community.
The Wilson County Board of Commissioners anticipates submitting a CDBG-DR application in 2017. Information on the amount of funding available, the requirements on benefit to low and moderate income persons, eligible activities and plans to minimize displacement and provide displacement assistance as necessary will be available. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comment on use of CDBG-DR funds. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

The Public will take notice that the Board of Commissioners of Wilson County has received and proposes to accept an offer to purchase the following properties. The properties are located at 602 East Wilson Street, PIN # 3734-99-2264 in the amount of $1,000 and 500 Singletary Street, East, PIN # 3721-56-6631 in the amount of $1,500. Any person may raise the bid within ten (10) days of this notice. The bid must be raised by at least 10% of the first $1,000 and 5% of the remainder. The raised bid must be delivered to the Clerk to the Board located in the County Manager’s office and must include a 5% bid deposit.
Raised bids will be advertised until no further qualifying upset bids are received.
