Sue assists the general public with education materials and other information. Sue coordinates the Soil and Water Conservation District Board meetings, Awards Banquet, and Poster, Essay, and Public Speaking Contests. She prepares and submits the annual budget request to the County Finance Office for the department.

Sue is a Certified Environmental Educator (CEE) and teams with teachers and students to promote environmental education. She also serves on the North Carolina District Employees Association governing board, State Civil Rights Committee, and the Area IV Envirothon. She supports the activities of the District and represents the District at area and State meetings.
