  1. Obtain an improvement (septic) permit from the Wilson County Environmental Health Department. If the lot has an existing septic system, an authorization to reuse the system is required. The improvement permit must have the construction authorization signed before applying for the manufactured home permit.
  2. Print a permit application from the Wilson County Inspections Department or get one at our office located at:

  3. Submit the improvement permit and completed zoning and setup applications along with a plot plan to the Planning and Inspections Department for review and approval. Allow 3 to 5 business days for review and approval. You will be notified when the permit has been approved.
