October Happenings

Advisory Council
The regular monthly meeting of the Advisory Council will be held on Monday, October 12,, 2015 at 9:00 am in the kitchen.  The Advisory Council is an important part of the center.  The members help decide on new programs and activities at the center and help decide how we can better serve the seniors of Wilson County.  All members of the center are invited to attend these meetings.
Our monthly breakfast will be held on the last Tuesday of the month, October 27, 2015 beginning at 9:00 am in the kitchen.  We serve bacon, eggs, biscuits, grits, pastry and juice.  Please be sure to sign up so that we can have enough for all.

County Fair Thank You
WOW!  What a day we had at the County Fair.  600 Seniors attended this year's event.  Special thanks to the Center Staff and volunteers as well as our very own Senior Hound Dawg Band, Unique Ukes and Charming Chimes.  The hot dogs would not have been served with Faye, Darlene and Bobbie.  Also, many thanks to area businesses who were very generous with our door prizes and to Selzter Services for letting us use their mums for decorations.

We plan to meet every last Friday of the month for coupon exchange and ideas for saving money at area businesses.  Bring any extra coupons you may not use.  We start at 9:00 am in the kitchen.
