Please plan to join us.

BAKERS NEEDED
We are looking for people to bake something for a Valentine Bake Sale here at the center.  You can bring something in that morning (Tuesday) or on the evening before Monday.  Anything goes: pies, cakes, brownies and more!  Proceeds will be used to purchase food items for an Easter distribution to our seniors in need.

CRAFT CLASSES & EVENTS
Crafters will now have two different craft events to choose from:
1.  Every first and third Wednesday of the month, there will be an informal Craft Club.  Each crafter can bring a project to work on for themselves.  This can be any kid of craft life painting, scrapbooking, woodwork, etc.  Sometimes it can be easier to work on projects with others around.  This will also be a chance to get some new ideas and share yours.  We meeting from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
2.  Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, will be devoted to a group craft planning by the center.  There will be a fee to cover the cost of materials and everyone will complete their project that day.  For January, we will have:
      -  January 11, 2017 -- Feathered Friends:  In this class we will make feeders for birds to get them through the winter.  We will make a seed wreath and an edible birdhouse.  The cost is $7 per person.
      -  January 25, 2017 -- String Art Heart:  It's amazing what you can do with wood, paint and string.  Join us for this class where we will make a string art decoration for the home.  The cost is $8 per person.
      -  Looking Ahead:  On February 8, 2017, our class will be doing Valentine Yard Art.  We will make a floral and heart plant pot to put outside your door or keep inside to enjoy.  The cost is $12 per person.
Please sign up for all craft classes at least 48 hours in advance in the office, so that we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone.

DINE OUT CLUB
In January (weather permitting), we will travel to Bailey for a visit to the Bailey CafĂ©.  We will leave the center at 11:00 am for the trip and lunch on your own.  You are welcome to drive yourselves there and meet us or travel in the van for $2.00 per person which helps defray the cost of the gas and pay for lunch for our volunteer drivers.  We will return to the center following lunch.  Please sign up in the office if you would like to attend.
